I can’t speak for everyone but I know a lot of us now simply have busy life’s kids and wife’s sitting at a pc for hours just isn’t an option or a lot of us would still be playing eve online. I want to know what other new pilots think about it.Most of the echoes community currently formed are eve vets most of us have long history’s within Eve online. And don't try to feed me the gamer skill story, because skillpoints matter most when you meet a guy eith equal wits.īut that's just me. All the rest of us will just play the game knowing we're no match to those who started earlier. I guess I'll never experience anything like it in Eve. I can only immagine how cool it was to those who started with the same resources on day 1. In fleets, an inexperienced light dictor pilot as part of a big fleet (one of the few active roles a new player could cover) might be very dangerous for that fleet more than it would be to the enemy. The belt is gone before the little venture finishes a miner cycle. Then, mining in a Venture II while surrounded by Covetors doesn't give a sense of usefulness to the Venture pilot. And who ever says his group flies logis just to keep the new guy safe in nihilus is not telling the truth. I've been told new players should avoid doing nihilus space, for example (people will call groups only for higher levels, where newbies risk way more). Having buddies in game is nice, but people feel better when they have things they can do together. It always had a focus on the social aspect. I get there are other better reasons to play this game. I noticed a truth in those statements even as a new player, but I can only immagine what it's like for those filthy rich. I see posts on how battles are pointless because ships have no value. I think the playerbase in EE is very tiny, and things will get dull pretty fast. I suppose new players don't need to worry about that anyway, since there's also a pretty steep learning curve, but seriously. So what is left for those who came later ? After devs get the game optimized and all ? ISK wells get shrunk and ISK becomes more valuable, so those who had a lot will get even more. So is Echoes worth the time and effort for an average casual player without any Eve experience ?īoth EE and EO got that same trait: those who start early get covered in ISK and have a considerable skillpoint advantage. It's worth mentioning that maybe 95% of the population fly ceptors or battleships for a long time now. Combined with low skillpoints, it makes everything harder. There are Tech tiers, and lower tier ships are pretty bad. I was very interested to finally be able to play it on mobile.īut as days went on, I soon figured that ships are a bit different in Echoes. And I'm proud I was part of great pvp groups, so I could witness firsthand a lot of stuff that happened in the game.įast forward to April 2021, found Echoes in the Google store. I realized that with my skills and experience I wouldn't be able to play the game properly, so went afk for a year, only to come back and start for good since I happened to have more time. here's my short story: I started playing Eve Online in 2010.
